Incentive Programme


The Department of Tourism encourages all eligible tourism businesses to apply for the Tourism Transformation Fund (TTF) and the Green Tourism Incentive Programme (GTIP) during the application period from 1 April to 30 June 2019


Draft Tourism Development Framework opens for public comment

The Draft Tourism Development Framework (TDF) provides a tourism development strategy and implementation framework for the City for the period between 2019 and 2023. The City will use the framework as a basis for planning its annual program of work and preparing its tourism budget for the next five years.


Online submission of building plans, land use applications compulsory by July 2019

The City of Cape Town will, as from 1 July 2019, only accept online submissions of building plan and land use applications. Residents, government departments and professionals submitting development applications are encouraged to register for the City’s online services, called e-Services, well ahead of time.
